Long-term from as soon as possible (our current coordinator leaves October 2014 and this would provide some time for handover). We are looking for a senior nurse with experience of leadership to join our team as the coordinator of our HIV programme. The clinic provides primary health care services including antenatal, maternity, paediatric and adult medical care. There is a small ward and a specialist HIV clinic. The HIV team includes a doctor, two or three nurses, a counsellor, a receptionist and translators. The HIV coordinator is responsible for leading this team, reporting to government about the programme and ensuring we receive funding and other support from other agencies. He or she sees patients in the outpatient clinic, provides support to patients when they are admitted to the ward and visits patients in their homes. Qualifications: A qualified nurse with 5 years experience and experience of leadership. A driver’s licence is essential. It would be helpful, but not essential, to have experience of HIV medicine and experience of care in the community. A midwifery qualification would also be useful. Flexibility and a willingness to try new things is essential.
